Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Abdominoplasty surgery typically takes about 3 hours and is performed with the patient under general anesthesia. While not required, many patients find an overnight stay in the facility to be very helpful. Most patients feel tired for several days and many will want to take one or two weeks off from work. Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)Arm lift surgery (“brachioplasty”) removes excess skin and fat from the arms. This may be combined with liposuction of the arms to reduce the arm fullness even further. This procedure is popular among patients who have lost a lot of weight. However, even patients who have not lost a lot of weight but have “bat wings” or loose, sagging skin of the upper arms are candidates for brachioplasty surgery. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 3 hours. Patients may go home the same day. The incision often runs from the armpit to the elbow. The scar is placed in a relatively inconspicuous place on the inner arm, but it will be visible when wearing short sleeves. The arms are swollen for a few days. Most people will want to take one or two weeks off from work. For more information about Arm Lift, please click here »
Thigh Lift
Inner thigh lift surgery is performed with the patient under general anesthesia. The incision often runs from the groin crease along the inner aspect of the thigh down to around the knee. The scar will be visible in shorts. The legs are swollen, bruised, and tight for several days. Most people will want to take about two weeks off from work. An outer thigh lift is often accomplished as part of a “belt lipectomy”, in which and incision may be made circumferentially. This allows lifting of the outer thighs while also reducing the excess skin and fat of the flanks, back, and abdomen. Liposuction of the outer thighs may be performed at the same time. This operation is performed under general anesthesia and requires admission to the surgical facility for at least one night. Most people will want to take about 3 weeks off from work after this type of surgery. For more information about Thigh Lift, please click here »
