Dr. Kunkel uses an artful, personal approach with each person. People have traveled from places as far away as Canada, New York, Florida, and California to have him be their plastic surgeon. More locally, women from Weatherford to Tyler, Southlake to Burleson, and Mansfield to Colleyville have visited his Fort Worth medical district office for cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. KELLY R. KUNKEL, M.D.

As seen in Fort Worth Texas Magazine, 360 West Magazine, and Texas Monthly, Dr.Kunkel has been voted by peers to be one of Fort Worth’s Top Doctors numerous times over a plastic surgery career spanning 20 years. He is dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for each and every one of his patients.

“People often ask me why I went into plastic surgery. I remember the deciding factor very clearly. When I was in my third year of medical school I spent one month with the plastic surgery service. One day the plastic surgery residents and staff physician were working on a 10-year-old boy who had lost an ear as a result of a severe burn. The plastic surgeons did an operation where they took a part of his rib, carved it into the shape of an ear, and implanted it in his scalp where the ear used to be. I thought, “Great! I want to be able to help people like this.” Now I am a plastic surgeon, and I am fortunate to be able to do what I love to do.”

BEFORE AND AFTER

BEFORE & AFTER

Plastic surgery, whether done for cosmetic or reconstructive reasons, can help patients gain self-confidence and a sense of well-being. Walking into a room or walking down a beach owning that new look is powerful stuff.
