Breast Reconstruction – Case 26
Individual results may vary.
Case ID: 2183This 69 year-old woman had previously undergone a left mastectomy to treat her left breast cancer. She decided to have her right breast removed to prevent her from getting cancer in that breast. A breast oncology surgeon performed the right mastectomy in a Fort Worth hospital. Dr. Kunkel reconstructed both breasts with tissue expanders at that time. A few months later he replaced the tissue expanders with 400 cc high profile round silicone gel breast implants. Her nipples were reconstructed using only tattoos. *Keep in mind that each person is unique, and individual results will vary.
