Case Details
This 51 year-old woman developed cancer in her right breast. A Fort Worth breast oncology surgeon completed a lumpectomy through an incision along the upper part of the right breast. The margins of the lumpectomy specimen were positive (still had cancer present) and the patient required a right mastectomy to take care of that. At the time of the mastectomy Dr. Kunkel reconstructed her right breast with a tissue expander. Six months later he replaced the right breast tissue expander with a 500 ml round silicone gel breast implant, and performed a left breast lift. *Keep in mind that each person is unique, and individual results will vary.
