This 58 year-old woman woman from the Cleburne – Glen Rose – Granbury area of North Texas had undergone breast augmentation and breast lift surgery 33 years ago. Breast imaging showed that her implants were ruptured. She also lost 65 pounds after a gastric band procedure. Dr. Kunkel performed capsulectomies and removed the ruptured implants in a Fort Worth hospital. New 300 ml round silicone gel implants were placed. Fat was suctioned from her flanks and added to the upper areas of her breasts, 105 ml each. An internal soft tissue support matrix was placed to prevent stretching of the lower parts of her breasts. Mastopexies were also performed. She also underwent a tummy tuck at the same time.
