This 39 year-old woman noted that her muscles had stretched after having 2 children, resulting in bulging in her central abdomen. She hated that! After visiting with Dr. Kunkel in his plastic surgery office in Fort Worth, Texas, she decided to undergo a tummy tuck (without liposuction). Her abdominoplasty surgery took place in a Fort Worth hospital and she spent that night in the facility. During her tummy tuck, Dr. Kunkel removed 11.5 inches of skin and tissue from between her belly button and her pubic areas. Her muscles were found to be widely separated and were sutured together in the midline, creating a sort of ‘internal girdle’. Her result is shown 3 months later.
