Case Details

This 67 year-old woman had undergone breast augmentation with 225 ml silicone gel implants 20 years ago.  She was found to have cancer in her left breast.  She liked the look of her breasts and did not want to have her right breast removed.  A Fort Worth breast oncology surgeon removed her left breast.  Dr. Kunkel reconstructed the left breast with a 375 ml round silicone gel implant.  He also replaced her right breast implant with a smooth surface 295 ml silicone gel implant.  The procedure was done as an outpatient; she went home that night.  She did not require any narcotic pain medication after her surgery.   Her result is shown one year after her mastectomy surgery.  *Keep in mind that each person is unique, and individual results will vary.
