This 72 year-old Fort Worth, Texas woman had silicone gel breast implants placed 43 years ago. A mammogram and ultrasound showed her breast implants were ruptured. Her breasts were hard and she didn’t like how they looked. She visited with Dr. Kunkel in his plastic surgery office near the Fort Worth Medical District. Dr. Kunkel removed the ruptured implants and surrounding thick scar tissue (capsulectomy). He also performed breast lift surgery (mastopexy).
