Case Details

This 56 year-old woman underwent breast augmentation 25 years ago.  She also lost 120 pounds after a gastric bypass 9 years ago.  Both of her breasts had become hard and distorted, and a mammogram was worrisome for her having ruptured breast implants.  It was embarrassing for her to hug people because her breasts were so hard.  She visited with Dr. Kunkel in his plastic surgery office near the Fort Worth Medical District to learn about her options.  She decided to undergo breast revision surgery.  During her surgery Dr. Kunkel performed capsulectomies, removing the ruptured silicone breast implants and the scar tissue around them, placed new 350 ml silicone gel implants, and performed breast lifts.  Her ‘after’ photo was taken 6 months later.  She loves the look, size, shape, and softness of her breasts!
