Case Details

This 67 year-old woman had 350 ml silicone gel breast implants for 12 years.  She knew that breast implants would not last forever and wanted to do something about her implants before they leaked.  She visited with Dr. Kunkel in his plastic surgery office near the Fort Worth, Texas medical district to learn about her options.  One of her biggest concerns was that she did not want to have to undergo more surgery for her implants when she was in her 80’s.  She decided to have her breast implants removed and not to have new implants placed. Breast lifts were discussed as an option but she did not choose to do that.  Her surgery took about 30 minutes to complete in a Fort Worth outpatient surgery center.  Her ‘after’ photograph was taken 6 weeks later.  **Keep in mind that each person is unique, and individual results will vary.
