Case Details

This 47 year-old woman with cancer in her left breast had previously undergone breast augmentation.  To treat her cancer she underwent bilateral mastectomies by a breast oncology surgeon in a Fort Worth hospital.  Dr. Kunkel reconstructed her breasts with tissue expanders.  He replaced tissue expanders with 550 cc high profile round silicone gel breast implants a few months later.   She completed her breast reconstruction after that when Dr. Kunkel used her own tissue to create nipples.  *Keep in mind that each person is unique, and individual results will vary.
